This project started by a request from Triton Aerospace LLC, an US-based (Anacortes, WA) manufacturer.
To optimize the weight of originally metal A500 (formerly Adam A500) structures, the company decided to verify weight reduction due to application of composites.
The project embraced finite element modeling of composite inboard and outboard sections of the flap and aileron and running their preliminary structural FE analysis, including both linear and nonlinear types of analysis.
